Best Chorus of 2018

When an input signal is doubled and the second signal is played slightly out of tune and timing, you have a chorus effect. Think of a choir where more than one person is sing the same part, but each will be slightly out of tune and out of time with one another. This is what a chorus pedal does with an input signal using modulation and a little time delay, thus creating a thicker sound and more colorful sound.

Anadime Chorus ADC-4

Rich & Warm Sounding Analog Chorus The ADC-4 Anadime Chorus is an analog chorus effect that uses a BBD (Bucket Brigade Delay) device. This versatile chorus effect is ideal for everything from moody arpeggios, to flowing chord progressions, to powerful riffs and solos. Even though the effect output is mono, it delivers a spacious sense of width and depth as well as warmth and thickness that only an analog chorus can achieve. The 3-way MODE Switch Enables to Create A Sound With Variety A 3-position DEEP mode switch provides variations in the perceived dimensional depth. New Mix Function Knob A MIX control adjusts the mix ratio between the direct and modulated sound. The MIX control can be used in conjunction with the DEPTH control to create fine effect gradations ranging from intense swirl to gentle undulation. S.C.T Circuit In standard "true bypass" circuits the instrument signal passes through two switch contacts when bypassed. In the Anadime Chorus the signal only passes through one switch contact when bypassed (Single Contact True Bypass), for unprecedented signal quality as well as reliability. D.C.G. Circuit A Double Contact Grounding Circuit ensures that the sleeve of the plug inserted into the output jack is grounded at two contact points. Increased ground contact area minimizes the possibility of intermittent contact, while also contributing to maximum sonic quality. Multi-function LED In addition to indicating the pedal's on/off status, the ADC-4 LED provides effective visual battery power monitoring. When the battery voltage drops below 7 volts the LED will become dimmer and begin to go out. The effect will still operate at this voltage, but to ensure optimum performance the battery should be replaced as soon as possible.

Mini Deja’Vibe 2

Real Estate is precious, especially on your pedalboard, but the lush organic sounds of a perfect "vintage Univibe clone" are a necessity, and they are now attainable in a space no bigger than a standard wah wah pedal... the Mini-Deja'Vibe2, or MDV-2 for short. Vintage Cream powder coated finish with Oxblood lettering and a Blue LED that throbs to the beat of its asymmetrical rhythm. The Vintage Solution... with a True Bypass Twist: One of the cool things about a Vintage Univibe was that you turned it on simply by pushing forward on the treadle, which activated a momentary switch located in the heel of the foot controller... pretty nice because we usually use the slower speeds so there were no odd transition noises like you would get if you switched it on like a wah wah. Wah wah's (as you know) turn on with a toe-activated switch, which would sound odd on a Univibe clone because that position is the fastest speed. The problem was (on an old Univibe) all it did was turn on or off the light bulb on the PCB... it wasn't true Bypass and did not have a very transparent sound. Our Proprietary Heel-Activated system works perfectly, sounds fabulous, operates smoothly, and "defaults" to bypassed should your power supply fail or be disconnected... all ground covered ;) Lastly, some have expressed concern about not having super-slow speeds being that "true bypass" is activated when the treadle is in full heel position. NOT TO WORRY, I found a way around the problem by increasing the "value" of the dual speed pot from 100K to 150K and now there are slower speeds available than any other Univibe clone as well as the super fast speeds!

Julia Analog Chorus/Vibrato - Black Friday Limited 2018

The Julia is a fully analog, feature-rich chorus/vibrato packed with a wide array of tonal landscapes begging to be explored. She is able to produce mild smooth chorus, to seasick vibrato and everywhere in between. With controls like Lag, Dry-Chorus-Vibrato Blend, and selectable analog LFO wave shapes, you are able to dial in all types of classic and unique chorus/vibrato sounds; some settings giving a familiar feel while others are not found on traditional chorus pedals. A special feature of the Julia is the Lag control. The Lag knob lets you set the center delay time that the LFO effect modulates from. From smooth and tight modulation at lower settings, to warbling detune at maximum, the Lag knob adds a new dimension to the traditional Chorus/Vibrato landscape. Extended Info While most chorus/vibrato pedals offer a toggle to go between the two effects, we’ve provided a knob to blend between Dry, Chorus, into Vibrato (labeled d-c-v on the pedal). The Dry-Chorus-Vibrato Blend changes the ratio of dry to wet signal sent to the output. At minimum, you will hear no effect. Set it to noon for equal parts dry and wet – the traditional chorus setting. Set it to maximum for 100% wet – the traditional vibrato setting. Explore the ground between minimum and noon for adding slight amounts of movement to your dry signal (also making the Julia great on bass guitar). Explore the ground between noon and maximum for all sorts of unheard chorus/vibrato combinations. The Julia comes in a deep lavender colored enclosure with surf green ink, featuring original artwork of the water mystery, Julia revealing the tip of her hand telling more of her true story.

Limited Edition Acid Eteched Seraph Deluxe

Limited edition Acid Etched Seraph Deluxe Dimensional Stereo Chorus from Fromel Electronics. Available in 3 colors; Blue, Purple and Sunburst (Purple and Sunburst are sold out) These are a limited edition, each uniquely crafted and hand made by John Fromel. The Seraph Deluxe is a true stereo in/out analog dimensional chorus modeled after the famous Roland SDD-320 Dimension D which was introduced in 1979 and used extensively by Brian Eno, Talking Heads, Kate Bush, U2, and others. In many ways the dimensional chorus defined the sound of the 80's. The original unit took up two rack spaces and had 4 preset buttons. In 1985 Boss released the DC-2 a compact pedal dimensional chorus with the same 4 preset buttons, yet it lacked some of the features of the SDD-320 such as line level and stereo in. The original Fromel Seraph released in 2008 was based on the DC-2. Over the last 10 years we have been working on this circuit exploring all the possibilities it can offer, while keeping the size pedal board friendly. The presets are slight variations with a very slow rate and very deep depth. In addition to the 4 classic modes the presets can be mixed and matched to make a total of 8 presets. There is also a manual mode that allows for precise setting of the rate and depth allowing for a very fast rate and shallow depth getting the effect into Leslie territory. What makes this chorus truly unique is the dual delay lines which allows for a Through Zero Flange effect when the dry signal is cut. Finally by cutting one of the delay lines and the dry signal a true pitch vibrato is produced. All that in a 1590BB enclosure. (4.7" x 3.7" x .95") The Seraph Deluxe uses modern delay chips for a bright and clear effect. There are also a limited number of pedals that have the original NOS Panasonic chipset. The NOS chips are slightly darker and warmer sounding than the new chips.

Mini Deja’Vibe 3 V2

Real Estate is precious, especially on your pedalboard, but the lush organic sounds of a perfect "authentic vintage Univibe clone" are a necessity, and they are now attainable in a space now smaller than a standard wah wah pedal... the Mini-Deja'Vibe3, MDV-3 for short. With a Hammertone Blue powder coated finish, White lettering, and a Blue LED that throbs to the beat of the pedal's hypnotic, asymmetrical rhythm. The MDV-3 has a new heel or toe activated True-Bypass footswitch that is perfect for the person who rarely changes speeds and just wants to turn it on or off with his toe, but also perfect for the person who rides it like a Gas-pedal and wants to turn the pedal on/off with a simple flick of the heel (see the MDV-3 video at youtube.com/fulltoneeffects) There are a LOT of pedals claiming to be "authentic vintage Univibe clones" on the market...the small ones are merely a glorified MXR phaser filled with opamps with a few capacitor changes. That's not a Univibe! So how is one to know which pedals are real and which ones are just a cheap shortcut? A real Univibe clone will have: 4 x glass covered/hermetically-sealed photocells and an incandescent bulb on the circuit board. I go one step further...and NO ONE else does this, I took many real 1960's 'cells and blueprinted them, not only their dark/bright resistance, but also for their all-important rise and fall times as they react to the light turning on and off. This is deep E.E. stuff, cannot be done unless you have the know-how and the expensive scopes. Run at 18+ volts. Totally discrete electronics, i.e. NO OPAMPS in the audio path! The MDV-3 uses the same metal-can 2SC539 transistor as original Univibes had for the preamp. In typical Fulltone fashion, I also manufacture my own geared potentiometer & Optocouplers used to control the speed, which is why Fulltone 'vibes get a much wider range of speeds than other 'vibe clones. I've been building "authentic vintage Univibe clones" longer than anyone, since 1992. Mine are used by Robin Trower, Peter Frampton, Doyle Bramhall II, and countless others... by the people who know great sound and won't settle for less. I make tools for people who play... so go to a Fulltone Custom Shop dealer, plug in and listen for yourself, you'll walk out with Fulltone more often than not.
