While designing the Mr. Hector amplifier we were thinking about guitar players who usually lack gain. 100W power amp is built with 4 6L6 tubes. Preamp uses four 12AX7 tubes and two 5C3S tubes in power supply. Tone control for both cannels is used. Footswitch changes the channels over and lets switch to Master Volume potentiometers which can be set separately. Important fact is that switching Masters can be done in the distortion channel as well as in the clean one. This combination lets such setting that gives you possibility to pitch step by step volume control during playing solo parts just by the change - over on the footswitch. wyjścia głośnikoweTwo more "high" and "low" TRS jacks are additionally situated on the front panel and also some rectification choice switches and power choice switch - 50W / 100W. Tube rectification enables gaining a more compressed, low sound, however diode (semiconductor) rectification gives more headroom and dynamics. The results can be heard especially while playing loud when power supply works with more burden. Both channels contain a high frequency "bright" boost, used with a little gain, causes distorted character change - the sound is similar to typical Vintage constructions. In tone regulation a Mid Switch is used .That causes parameter tone control change. Different positions of switch lead to a change of frequency of the middle filter and also change of low tone content. Both Mid Switch positions secure completely different amp sound and different EQ system operation. One position is characterized with larger content of bass and is similar to classic sound which is typical for high gain tube amps. Another position gives you sound similar to that gained by Stomp Boxes. The most radical change of sound can be obtained especially with less “Middle” knob setting. Distorted channel provides even more sound varieties: from Rock, Thrash, Metal, to Death Metal. Mr Hector i 312The clean channel gives you more of a full sound. In the most sensitive position of potentiometer one can gain crunch similar to distorted. In the lowest position it's gain but the sound of it is different. Switching channels gives more opportunities than just clean/distortion, but also crunch/lead or crunch A / crunch B. Musicians who don't use the clean channel may turn it down. To tune out the signal there is no need to turn down the guitar. We recommend using a Mr. Hector Laboga cabinet, which is dedicated to heavier types of sound. This cabinet is equipped with two Celestion Vintage 30 speakers and one ElectroVoice Black Label speaker. You can also use the Laboga 412 cabinet model with Celestion Vintage 30 speakers or models of other brands.

This channel is designed to be clean all the way up until the power amp reaches full power and begins its warm power tube breakup. The Overdrive Channel has independent Gain and Volume Controls. Any level of gain and overdrive is available at any volume level. The Presence control is common to both channels. One 16 ohm and two 8 ohm speaker jacks are provided for easy hook up to your cabinet or cabinets.

In making the HT-5 ideally suited to home and studio use, the aim was to develop a valve amp which sounded full and toneful even at the lowest volume level. With this in mind the Blackstar design team developed a brand new valve power amplifier topology. The HT-5 power amplifier is a low powered push-pull design which produces the crunch and break-up characteristics of a traditional 100W output stage, but at a much lower volume. This is achieved by the use of a 12BH7 dual triode in push-pull configuration producing 5 Watts output, which is rich in valve harmonics and compression. The HT-5 also has a fully specified stereo speaker emulated output which further enhances the studio credentials and allows any guitarist to get amazing valve tone straight to tape or disk, or through headphones. It also features the unique 4x12/1x12 voicing switch allowing you to change the tonal characteristics of the emulated signal between two emulated cabinet types. The stereo speaker emulated output can be used at the same time as the internal speaker/extension cab, providing headphone free monitoring or the choice to blend a mic’d speaker and emulated signal together for unrivalled usability when recording at home or in the studio. But any time you need to tame this little beast and put a vintage patina of warmth and silkiness around things… kick down to 10-Watts and enjoy a whole new and different world of Recto expression. 4 EXPRESSIVE STYLE MODES, 2 CHANNEL SIMPLICITY Recto-Verb 25 Sound Modes Channel 1 focuses on rhythm sounds, both clean and overdriven, via the CLEAN and PUSHED Modes. Channel 2 features the iconic Recto high gain sounds in both their faces - The iconic liquid wall of VINTAGE and the aggressive fury of MODERN. Channel 1 focuses on rhythm sounds, both clean and overdriven, via the CLEAN and PUSHED Modes. The CLEAN Mode delivers sparkling, big-headroom rhythm sounds that breathe with rich, warm air on the bottom end. When driven to clip and combined with the 10-Watt Power setting, this Mode misbehaves with real attitude and shines for urgent, yet soulful, Blues solo sounds and furry Rock rhythm. PUSHED aptly describes what to do with the second Mode in Channel 1 and here you’ll find the next region of gain. With a more stripped EQ, and just enough added drive, PUSHED invites aggressive Rock rhythm and Crunch styles to the party and even taunts your mid-gain solo work, especially in the 10-Watt Power setting. Reverb All-Tube Long Spring Reverb with independent channel controls accessed via the rear panel. VINTAGE excels at thick, high gain chording and single note soloing with an elastic feel and a broad harmonic spread. It has a looser, more organic sound and the overdrive drapes itself around the notes creating a huge, three-dimensional image. VINTAGE solo work is further enhanced by the 10-Watt Power position, were the attack envelope changes and becomes rounder and more voice-like, while upper harmonics recede slightly to create single note sounds of true beauty. VINTAGE and 10-Watt mode compliment each other in ways that will open new doors for the Recto that were previously only available on more well behaved or "cultured" amps. It may also surprise current big-power Recto owners who experience for the first time what this power range/wiring style does for a sound they had typecast. This aggressive Mode comes right at you (maybe even for you) with stunning attack and a hi-mid bump that keeps things percussive and tracking with hyper-accuracy. It's hard to believe that this amount of gain can be infused, yet still deliver with this much speed and definition, especially in bass frequencies. But this is pure Recto and MODERN contributes an equal part to achieving its status as the other most recorded sound in Rock. Needless to say, MODERN is all about all things Heavy and Metal. And while this sound is best demonstrated using the 25-Watt Power setting, be sure not to typecast MODERN too quickly. The 10-Watt Power setting sweetens the mids and softens the attack. The Clean channel delivers sweet, crystalline cleans, right up to the point of breakup, whilst the Dirty channel remains unerringly focussed, steeped in complex harmonic overtones even at maximum gain settings. The TH30 has proved to be one of the most popular heads in the Orange range, and with good reason. The sheer range of tones that can be dialed in from just six controls is nothing short of jawdropping whilst the quartet of EL84 valves convey their own crisp character, breaking up into rich overdrive when pushed to the limit.
