The AMP MODE Boost is a MOSFET transistor boost and is the exact same circuit that is found in our best selling PRISM Preamp! Ask anyone who owns a PRISM and they'll most likely tell you that their favorite mode of the PRISM is the AMP MODE.
Since we released the PRISM in 2016, we have been inundated with requests to come out with a stand-alone product based on the AMP MODE of the PRISM. You asked and we listened!
BOOST CONTROL
The single boost control sets the overall boost for the AMP MODE. The AMP MODE is a true boost in that when the boost control is fully counter-clockwise, it doesn't boost your signal, it instead acts as a unity gain buffer that emboldens your guitars signal to prevent against tonal loss when drive long cables etc.
DC INPUT
The AMP MODE can safely run from 9V-18V DC (center negative). Running it at 18V will give increased headroom and dynamic response. Do NOT exceed 18V
