DPA Microphones d:screet CORE 6061 Mic-Loud SPL Mini-Jack -Beige on RigShare
The DPA d:screet CORE 6061 is a subminiature microphone with a cable terminated with a hardwired 3.5 mm mini jack connector. Although it's just 3 mm (0.12 in) in size, it pacls the audio power of DPA's larger, award-winning DPA mics. What it lacks in size, it more than makes up for in clarity, consistency and durability – three qualities that really matter. By shrinking CORE by DPA technology, DPA ensure you don't have to compromise on sound to focus on aesthetics. CORE by DPA is a powerful new technology at the heart of DPA miniature microphones. With minimized distortion you will experience increased clarity and openness. DPA have taken the amazing CORE technology and shrunk it down to fit into their (0.12 in) subminiature mics. This means that, despite their small size, the performance of the d:screet 6061 CORE Subminiature Series is fully comparable to the 5 mm (0.20 in) miniature capsules that are beloved around the globe. These subminiatures have a lower noise floor than any other 3 mm (0.12 in) capsule on the market and they are better able to capture high sound pressure levels without distortion as well. In terms of technical specifications, the d:screet 6061 has a noise floor of only 26 dB(A), which is on par with the 5 mm (0.20 in) DPA miniature capsules. Advanced new mic design This tiny capsule has a cap that can be removed for cleaning and should be firmly reattached to the mic body with a firm click that can both be felt and heard. The supplied cap corresponds in its nature to the low-boost grid 5 mm (0.20 in) versions. Both the mic itself plus the cap are made of stainless steel and treated with a Physical vapor deposition (PVD) coating that makes it extremely durable: able to tolerate high temperatures, resilient against impacts and resistant to abrasion. The entire mic has a pleasant matte look due to the coating making the entire headset look smaller and less obtrusive. The cable is often the weak spot on these types of mics, but we have opted to use the same size cable (Ø 1.6 mm (.06 in)) and the same rugged cable relief as on our 5 mm (0.20 in) mics. The cables are extremely durable, do not become entangled and are equipped with an inner core made of Kevlar that withstands rough pulls. A strain relief is integrated in the mic housing to strengthen the assembly. The cable and capsule design ensure immunity to noisy wireless devices. These mics are typically connected to a wireless belt pack and DPA offer a comprehensive mix of adapters to suit the many wireless transmitters available. When used with an adapter, the connector is our MicroDot but we also offer hardwired terminations to suit the most popular systems from manufactures such as Shure and Sennheiser. All DPA connectors are equipped with a rugged strain relief. IP58 certified The CORE Subminiatures are IP58 certified. This durability is achieved through a number of defense mechanisms: Water-repellant nano-coating of the cover and housing Hermetic sealing of the sensitive amplifier at the core of the mic Dual gold plating of the diaphragm 8-position lavalier clip When used as a lavalier, a special rotatable clip is available. The 360° clip allows the lav to be mounted in eight positions, chosen in 45° incremental steps. This makes it very easy to change from women's to men's shirts (left to right buttoned) or even t-shirts and the like where the neckline is used. Features: Amazing 3 mm CORE capsule technology Renowned DPA sound in a 60% smaller package Stainless steel, PVD-coated mic housing Modular adapter system fits most professional wireless systems

TB-1 Tea Ball Microphone

Introducing the model TB-1 Tea Ball Microphone by ZVEX Effects, designed for specialty use on stage and in the studio. The special circuitry of the TB-1 causes it to reject sound from sources that are further than an inch or so away from the grille. This allows the mic to be placed on stage in a loud environment and plugged directly into a guitar amp that's turned up to a level that would cause any normal microphone to squeal furiously. In the studio when recording a guide vocal track in a live recording room, the TB-1 will reject the amplifiers and drums. This way the guide vocal can be used for rough mixes without fear of hearing other instruments or room ambience loudly in the background. Why is it called the Tea Ball Microphone? It's actually built inside a stainless steel tea ball, the kind of device used to make a hot mug of goodness from a tin of loose tea. The clip that holds the tea ball shut is used to open it up to change two CR2032 batteries. These have a life of about 100 hours and presently cost less than $10 for 20 units on Amazon (Sony CR2032). The mesh on the tea ball will never chip your teeth like an SM58 because it's quite springy. That's important because the best sound from this mic comes from putting your mouth right up against it. The entire mic disassembles easily by unplugging the electronics and lifting out the internal foam windscreen which can be washed in soapy water. Be sure to dry it before reassembling. The mesh ball is suspended inside a thick copper hoop using three springs for a look like something from the early part of last century. The TB-1's output level is similar to that of a guitar. It has a 1/4" female jack that runs smoothly parallel to the microphone stand. The mic is powered up by being plugged in and turned on with a switch on the back. When the mic is unplugged, the battery will not drain no matter which position the power switch is in. When the mic is live, an LED gently glows near the switch, visible from FOH so that the sound engineer can be sure it's working. Enjoy!

SCX1 Drum Microphone

The SCX1 is a professional studio cardioid condenser microphone designed for a wide variety of recording, broadcast and live sound applications. Known for its high sensitivity, pin-point accuracy, low profile and consistency, the SCX1 is also available with hypercardioid (model SCX1HC) or omni-directional (model SCX1O) capsules. With a smooth uniform frequency response from 40 Hz - 20 kHz, the SCX1 is very consistent when responding to on and off-axis signals, and exhibits excellent phase coherence and minimal proximity effect. The SCX1 is characterized with a wide cardioid polar pattern; this, coupled with the high output and sensitivity of the microphone, makes the SCX1 an ideal choice for miking overhead, drums, instruments, room ambience, orchestral sections, stringed instruments, piano, vibes and sound effects. The SCX1HC condenser microphone is a number one choice for miking hi-hat both live and in the studio.Other features include a 21 mm gold vapor capsule, miniaturized electronics and an extremely small footprint. The SCX1 will handle sound pressure levels of 130 dB and will provide up to 20 dB of ambient noise rejection. In addition to acoustic instruments, the SCX1 is an excellent choice for group vocals, speech or Foley work. The SCX1HC has become a popular choice for interior dialogue boom pole miking. It has a precision machined brass body, interchangeable capsules, black multi-layer class ‘A' liquid finish and gold plated XLR connector. The SCX1 studio condenser microphone is manufactured to exacting standards and tight tolerances.
