Amps

An amplifier, also known as an amp, is an or electronic device that boosts a low voltage signal and uses it to power it through speakers. Amplifiers not only boost a signal, but also have to do the difficult task of reproducing the quality of the signal with variations in both frequency and amplitude. The quality of an amp is just as important as the instrument being played when aiming to achieve great tone.

AC30C2

The AC30C2 is the most versatile AC30 in Vox history! Plug into this Custom Series guitar amp and you'll hear what we mean. Based on the classic AC30 design, the exciting new AC30C2 offers two channels - normal and top boost. Claim your own classic sound using the top boost channel's treble and bass controls while tweaking the tone cut and volume controls in the master section. When you balance the individual and master volumes, you can score everything from a classic, chimey Vox sound to an edgy, overdriven tone. And we haven't even mentioned the AC30C2's onboard reverb and tremolo yet. While you can definitely get those British Invasion tones out of the Vox AC30C2, this 30-watt, 2 x 12" combo puts a range of new sounds under your fingertips. Sweeten the sound using the tremolo effect, adjusting speed and depth to get your sound right where you want it. You'll also like having the warm spring reverb onboard to add space to your tone. The AC30C2's reverb and tremolo effects can be turned on and off via footswitch for convenience. And if you're a pedalboard fiend, you'll appreciate the true bypass effects loop for bringing your favorite stompboxes in and out of your tonal path. What's the magic behind the sound of the Vox AC30C2 combo amp? The tubes, of course! The AC30C2 offers up three of the popular 12AX7 preamp tubes and makes use of four EL84 tubes in the power section to make up its 30 watts. When you want to speak with more authority, just use the 8-/16-ohm output jack to play through an external speaker jack. Doing this will mute the built-in speakers. There's even a second extension speaker jack, so you can run through a 16-ohm cabinet at the same time you use the internal speakers. And speaking of speakers, the AC30C2 features a duo of 12" Celestion G12M Greenbacks for that vibey '60s rock sound you know and love.

Dual Rectifier® Head

It’s been more than 25 years, two generations of guitarists and several musical trend-cycles since the Dual Rectifier® first unleashed its crushing wall of gain on radio. In that time many have mimicked, modeled, dissected and plagiarized it, but it remains firmly planted at the center of heavy music; a Rock icon. Over a decade ago the Recto® underwent a massive facelift that greatly expanded its versatility and took what was a 2 Channel amp aimed squarely at high gain only – to a 3 Channel amp capable of roaming any style confidently. While still leaving the widest, deepest footprint in heavy music, the Dual Rectifier has become the amp of choice for a long list of chart topping devotees outside the world of heavy. THE BEST RECTIFIER EVER BUILT…PERIOD. Dual Rectifier's Channel 2 and 3 Offer RAW, VINTAGE HIGH GAIN or MODERN HIGH GAIN Modes Improved Modes in Channels 2 and 3 include a more soulful, earthiness in RAW, thicker layers of harmonics and more liquid gain in VINTAGE and tighter gut-punching attack in MODERN. Better sounding and better feeling than any 2 or 3 Channel version that came before it, we had only one mission – To build the best Rectifier yet. Not an easy task but now with our patented Multi-Watt™ 50/100 (watt) Channel Selectable Power, an Improved Effects Loop, Channel Assignable Rectification with Rectifier Tracking™, a dedicated Tuner Out with Mute and an all-new Footswitch, the Dual Rectifier is more capable than ever before. But what really has us most excited isn’t all the latest features you see on the front and rear panels. While these are great and really useful, it’s the TONE and range that has us most fired-up! We’ve unearthed a lot of secrets since launching the original Dual Rectifier and we’ve put this knowledge to use in the latest rendering you see here. Improved CLEAN and PUSHED Modes in Channel 1. Improved Modes in Channels 2 and 3 include a more soulful, earthiness in RAW, thicker layers of harmonics and more liquid gain in VINTAGE and tighter gut-punching attack in MODERN.
