What software do you record with?

to record these songs I used Ableton Live 9, but I'm not satisfied, actually I want to improve the recording of my songs. For now I just placed the mic in front of my amps and I pushed "rec" on the MacBook!

I love Ableton 9. I use it weekly to run click tracks playing live and I record through it here and there. It's very expansive. My primary DAW is Cubase 9.5, which is where I do my heavy load projects. What are you not satisfied with? Ableton or the mic?

Yes, I also really like Ableton, but I think I need to do a better study on the positioning of my microphones and improve the mix to get a cleaner and more defined sound to eliminate background noise

I hear ya. Yea there are so many strategies. It all comes down to what works best for your room size and the type of mic (condenser or dynamic).
