THE LINK

We’ve designed the LINK from the ground up to be the ultimate solution for linking guitars to amplifiers irregardless of distance. This system has two different types of outputs, balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (¼”). The balanced output (when used in conjunction with the receiver) allows the user to have a distance of up to 300’ between their guitar setup and the amplifier with no loss of signal. In cases where the amplifier is only about 20’ away, the user has the option to use the unbalanced output and plug straight into their amplifier.

WHY THE LINK?

When we were designing the LINK, we set a standard to achieve three goals; quality, compatibility, and versatility.

Quality: The LINK was made with the best components we could find. All parts were selected with the intent of making the quietest, most transparent, and reliable circuit possible.
Compatibility: This system is designed with pedalboards in mind. The LINK can be powered by center negative power supplies commonly found on most pedal power supplies. The LINK also is equipped with buffered bypassed outputs, thus eliminating the need for re-patching I/O when needing to use either the XLR output or ¼” output.
Versatility: Having two different types of outputs means the LINK is ready to support the player whether their amplifier is near or far. Both outputs are always active and can be used simultaneously.

The STR LINK Transmitter (TX) is an active stereo unbalanced to balanced converter. This unit will take an unbalanced signal (via ¼”) from a guitar or bass and convert it to a balanced signal (via XLR). Doing this greatly increases the maximum allowable distance between a guitar and amplifier from 20’ to 300’.

The LINK Receiver (RX) is a passive balanced to unbalanced converter. Intended to work in conjunction with the STR LINK TX, this unit receives the balanced audio signal and converts it to an unbalanced signal making it compatible with amplifiers.
