Something I've found out while dual locking: a lot of pedals have screws for the back plate on the four corners of the underside of the pedal. I put a thin rectangle strip parallel to the bottom and top egde between the screws for main stabilization (top and bottom). BUT if I also add four small squares beside the screws on the length of the backplate, it gives an even grip to all four sides of the pedal without using a ton of material. I can even pick up the frame of my PT Jr. Board by my small/light hall of fame reverb. Crazy.
