The M-2 is all about style and tone. This is the second generation of the beloved National Reso-Phonic M-1 that was made from 1990 to 1994, and it’s better than ever. The M-2’s body is composed of mahogany, which affords a distinctive sweet sound. The laminated top and back are mated with solid mahogany sides, setting off the ribbed sieve resonator coverplate and its rubbed nickel finish. The deluxe mahogany neck features a rosewood fretboard with ivoroid binding and graceful diamond-shaped mother-of-pearl position markers. The headstock is highlighted by engraved pearloid overlay and vintage-style engraved, open-gear tuners.
