The Washburn Mercury MG90 is part of Washburn's Mercury series produced between 1993-1996 under Grover Jackson. The MG90 was part of the Mercury I series which were made in the United States. This serie was highly regarded as high-end instruments and the Mercury I series had "chunkier" necks than the Mercury II series. The Washburn MG90 also has the advanced features like the Wilkinson VS-100 tremolo and direct-mounted Seymour Duncan pickups. The HSS pickup configuration consist of two Seymour Duncan SSL-5 Single Coils and a Seymour Duncan JB humbucker. The guitar came in a natural oil mat finish.
