The folk guitar is a smaller sized guitar that has a more balanced sound across the sound spectrum. Instead of projecting more mid-range and low-end frequencies like common acoustics, it will have a sound that is more evenly distributed across the sound spectrum. You can expect a rich sound that has bass with evenly matched mids and highs.
