If listening to such neat names as "Mu-tron® Bi-Phase", "Korg® X911" (guitar synthi), etc., your mouth watering and if your guitar effects are not fancy enough, you'll need an FM4 ™ Filter Modeler from Line 6. There are 13 more effects in this part to help you catapult your guitars into unimaginable dimensions. Although Line 6 has been inspired by the glorious past for this promising device, the filter and vocoder experiments by Frank Zappa, Ernie Isley, Robert Fripp and Peter Frampton are still cheeky and fresh. With the synthesizer LFO of "The Throbber" (4 waveforms, including square and triangular wave) or "Tron Up / Tron Down" with the surprising auto-wah for the selected frequency band, "Synth-O-Matic" (superbrutal filters of the Prophet® 600 and ARP Explorer) is all there to give you a completely new sound experience. Sure, your wah pedal is also a filter (and the FM4 includes a süperbes "Q Filter" model, with the play "Parked Wah" effects of Brian May Queen and Prince can be achieved). It can be even more traditional: Plug in an optional EX-1 Throttle pedal and assign different "Q Filter" settings to the "Up" and "Down" pedal positions - you already have the most flexible Wah pedal of all time (thanks 24-bit signal processing) with true stereo signal path and completely neutral "bypass" function. Like all Stompbox Modeler Line 6, the DL4 is housed in a sturdy metal case and features four footswitches for storing and recalling your sounds. There are also six controls whose functions are based on the currently selected model.
