Elegance and performance in one. The Les Paul Custom made its debut in 1954 after the initial success of the Les Paul Goldtop. Les Paul himself suggested his namesake guitar needed a new and classy finish that would go well with a tuxedo on stage. From that point on, the Les Paul Custom Blackback was referred to as the "white tuxedo" Les Paul. And with its gold appointments, fully bound body, neck and headstock, and pearloid inlays, you'll agree that the Epiphone Les Paul Custom Blackback is "dressed to kill." Case sold separately. Great Tonewoods While all Les Pauls share common design features, the Les Paul Custom Blackback differed from the Les Paul Standard with a solid mahogany body but without a maple cap. Epiphone's LP Custom Blackback follows that tradition by using a solid, carved mahogany body for a slightly mellower tone. Like the originals, the Epiphone Les Paul Custom Blackback is fitted with a solid mahogany neck that is hand-fitted with a glued-in joint for optimum neck-to-body contact, which allows the body and neck to act like one continuous piece of wood. The neck features a very comfortable and fast "SlimTaper "D" profile that has become the most popular profile found on today's Les Pauls. The result is a tribute to Les' timeless guitar design with the sound and feel that you can only get from a real Les Paul. Added Vintage-Vibe Epiphone has reproduced the beautiful faded look of vintage Les Paul Customs with an œAntique Ivory finish that looks just like a well-preserved vintage Les Paul Custom. Plus, Epiphone has also reproduced the œBlackback, a common feature in '70s-era Les Paul Customs. Finally, Epiphone equips this Limited. Edition LP Custom with classic "open-window" ProBuckers, each voiced for maximum response for lead, rhythm or any combo you choose. The Limited Edition 1970's Inspired Les Paul Custom Blackback PRO sounds like the real thing because it is the real thing! And at fraction for what youd pay for a vintage original. Loaded with premium add-ons Other premium features include Epiphone's LockTone Tune-o-matic/Stopbar combination bridge for increased sustain and easy string changes, 16:1 ratio Grover machine heads, a 7-layer bound body, a 5-layer bound headstock, and a comfortable single-layer bound rosewood fingerboard.

Hampton

Vintage Inspiration The Hampton is a 21st-century update of the Supro electric solidbody guitar. The elegant comfort of the 1960’s-era beveled-edge Ozark body shape and the mighty sound of the original field-coil pickups have been enhanced with an ultra-fast satin neck, Tune-o-matic bridge and updated wave tailpiece. The result is a modern player’s instrument with old-school style and authentic Supro tone! Gold Foil Pickups The Hampton’s Gold Foil pickups use the same internal construction as the original “Clear-tone” pickups, providing a massive, broadband sound with remarkably low noise for a single-coil design. The mini-humbucker-sized version of the Supro Gold Foil pickup found in this guitar has the same internal construction as the humbucker-sized versions found in the other Island Series models. The Hampton’s bridge pickup is wound slightly hotter than the others, while the middle pickup is RWRP, providing fully hum-cancelling sound in the “2 and 4” positions of the 5-way blade switch. Modern Construction The time-tested tone-wood recipe of an alder body paired with a 25 ½”-scale maple neck and rosewood fretboard combine with the Hampton’s vintage-correct pickups to produce an exceptionally dynamic playing experience. Blending vintage American tone with refined set-neck design, the Supro Hampton is intended for the professional musician who needs an ergonomic and versatile guitar capable of handling most genres of music with authority. The three pickups cover a huge range of tones, from fat single-coil jazz tones in the neck position to spanky funk tones and sparkling twang in the middle, and pure rock power when the bridge pickup is selected.

Westbury

Vintage Inspiration The Westbury is a 21st-century update of the Supro electric solidbody guitar. Gold Foil Pickups The unique Gold Foil pickups found in the Supro Westbury are faithful reproductions of the original magnetics developed for Valco by Ralph Keller in the early 1950s. These pickups, which gave voice to the vintage Chicago-made Supro guitars, have a massive, broadband sound with remarkably low noise for a single-coil design. The humbucker-sized Gold Foil bridge pickup found in the Westbury is slightly overwound, while the neck pickup is reverse-wound in order to provide fully hum-cancelling sound when the two pickups are combined by selecting the middle position of the 3-way toggle switch. Modern Construction The time-tested tone-wood recipe of an alder body paired with a 25 ½”-scale maple neck and rosewood fretboard combine with the Westbury’s vintage-correct pickups to produce an exceptionally dynamic playing experience. Blending vintage American tone with refined set-neck design, the Supro Westbury is intended for the professional musician who needs an ergonomic and versatile guitar capable of handling most genres of music with authority. The Westbury’s dual-pickup configuration lets the player switch effortlessly between warm, single-coil neck pickup sounds, throaty bridge tones, or a perfectly balanced, parallel combination of both pickups for rhythm work.
