Pancake Trilobite 2xFuzz V2
The Pancake Trilobite 2xFuzz V2, a high gain and insane silicon fuzz pedal that can achieve near metal tones, but also produce splatty, blown-out sounds with a flip of a switch!
The Trilobite features a main volume control, a presence control, a transistor bias control, and a toggle switch to go between two modes.
When the switch is down, it becomes the more touchy/glitchy fuzz. The presence control will make it cut through, and if the bias is cranked, it starts to make an almost envelope filter sound. In this mode, you can control just how filter-like it is by rolling your guitar's volume down slightly (up is more filter, down is more tame). For some cool octave-ish sounds, use your neck pickup, with the tone down, and play higher up on the fretboard! This mode has less output than the second mode, and unity gain is usually achieved around 2 or 3 o clock on the volume control.
Mode 2 is much louder, so when you flip the toggle up, watch where your volume control is! Unity gain is more around 9 or 10 o clock. The bias on this setting actually makes it more compressed as you turn it up! This setting also can stack if you have an overdrive or boost before it.
The V2 is true bypass, runs on 9VDC (Center Negative), now has top mount jacks, better power/RF filtering, bright purple LEDs, and is handmade in Morgantown, WV.
