The SUPER LEAD is a revision of the original Goldfinger! The redesigned Omega gain channel has overall more gain and flexibility. Gain EQ and Loudness controls have been improved to add versatility, allowing the player to find a good tone at any volume. The 69/80's mode switch made place for the 68/77/81's mode switch to tailor the added gain stage for different tones and feels. The Omega channel also received a "Fat" switch to give the tone more girth if needed. The beautiful Alpha clean channel is identical to the original design with the exception of the Post Bright switch which made place for a Deep switch. This is a subtle effect by extending the low end but can be useful in certain situations, like overall darken the sound or adding a hollow body quality to a solid body guitar. The channel boosts have been replaced with a new tube circuit, which features individual boost level controls for each channel. A boost gain control with a tight/fat mode switch for the Omega gain channel allows the Super Lead to compete with any three channel amp. Otherwise the Goldfinger Super Lead is still based around the rich harmonic textures of the iconic 6V6 tube. Known for having a nice warmth and a creamy breakup at fairly low volumes, the 6V6 sings like an EL34 but has more chime like a 6L6 for cleaner bell like tones. The quartet of 6V6's delivers 45 watts of clean headroom and can be scaled down to 30, 23 or 15 watts. The post effects loop features the identical circuit as the original Goldfinger and can be set to series or parallel. A level switch to be set accordingly to the effects unit used. Parallel mode lets you mix your effects via a control to the pure dry signal. Series takes the entire dry signal and routes it through your effects unit, series can also be used as a volume boost. The pre loop of the original Goldfinger had to make place for the new boost circuit! Click: any picture or the camera icon to view the gallery, the "S" icon for specifications and "M" for the manual! Information of the original Goldfinger can be found in the "Out Of Production" section located on the Amplifier menu!
