The Gretsch Catalina Club Series blends traditional configurations and classic tone with sleek, contemporary hardware innovations. Catalina Club 4-piece configurations are built around the foundation of the beloved 14-inch deep bass drum that gives each of these setups a warm and punchy vintage tone. Catalina Club's hardware components give the series a distinctive "new Gretsch" flair that pays homage to the company's rich tradition, while infusing an exciting and progressive personality. From the round "gas cap" bass drum mount plate and Mini GTS mounting system to the reduced-mass tom mount brackets and Gretsch T-Wing screws and bolts, Catalina Club has an incredible drummer-friendly feel. The classic mahogany shells are still built with the same natural shell interior and 30-degree bearing edge that made them famous. Bass drums include telescopic spurs and matching wood bass drum hoops. Toms and snare drums feature 1.6mm triple flanged hoops and all Catalina Club drums are equipped with Remo® drum heads.

Jazz Fest Series Snare Drum

The presence of a generation returns! Ludwig is known for having the most extensive catalog of collectible drums. The 5.5"x14" Jazzfest snare is a “big fish” on that long list. First introduced to the market in the 1950s as the Buddy Rich Model Snare Drum, the Jazzfest took on its first form in the early 1960s as a 5.5" depth snare. This version of the Jazzfest would come to join the iconic line-up of tracks that Ludwig snares drums dominate. It features a 3-ply Legacy Mahogany shell, vintage ‘64 snare bed, 8 twin lugs, 3-step baseball bat tone-control and a white “Reso-Coat” interior.

Vintage Rocker Series

The Rockers were the first drums made in the, then new, Monroe, NC plant. The Chicago factory was closed around 1985 and all US Ludwig production then went to NC. There were two versions...Rocker and Rocker II. The Rocker Series from 1984 - 1994 had shells with clear lacquer inside. – (this is the version of the drum kit we are selling here) The Rocker-II-Series from 1984 - 1994 had 4ply shells with coated grey lacquer inside. The clear lacquer interior is the better drum by far.The Rocker has the same lugs as the Classic line along with good solid bass drum spurs and tom holder.

Sonor introduces the SQ1 series, a new dimension in sound. Birch shells in combination with new innovative Sound Sustainer technology form the basis of a drum series with extraordinary sound characteristics. Together with exclusive matte lacquer finishes, a professional drum concept for live performance and studio recording was developed. Made in Germany. Birch - the secret behind acoustic versatility SQ1 drum shells are made of 100% European Birch. Because of its sound characteristics - balanced in low, mid and high - the Birch drum sound is very popular for studio recordings as well as live performances. When developing SQ1, Sonor tested several combinations of Birch-based shell materials. Sonor's conclusion was that pure Birch provided the most versatile sounding drum. Sonor's unique CLTF "Cross Lamination Tension Free" and OSM "Optimum Shell Measurement" process (slightly narrowed outside shell measurement) provide excellent sustain and easy tuning. Sound Sustainer - the intelligent drum mount For decades Sonor has cooperated with scientific institutes to optimize the acoustic performance of their drums. Numerous pioneering concepts for the improvement of drum mounting systems have been developed. The new Sound Sustainer technology is based on concepts applied in the automotive industry. A 2-component connection (rubber to metal) enables complete isolation of the metal mount and the wooden shell. This guarantees a particularly long lasting and clean decaying sustain, not just for tom toms but also all floor toms in the SQ1 series. SQ1 Look & Feel - inspired by classic cars The colors and styles of legendary car classics were the inspiration for the color selection of the SQ1 series. Four matte lacquer surfaces are handcrafted with Sonor's precision sanding, polishing and lacquer procedures. A special lacquer is used to seal all inside shells.
