A very useful yet often overlooked pedal is an eq pedal. They can be used for more than most people realise as well. You can use the JF-11 to help make your solos cut through the mix. You could use it to tame a particularly bright or bassy guitar. You can use it to just generally beef up your guitar or basses tone as well. You could even use one on an acoustic to give you some extra tonal control and to even help prevent feedback problems.
